Mum Black Iris

The Black Iris Collection is inspired by the vibrancy and beauty of the iris flower. The idea of a "black rainbow", a Greek word meaning rainbow, evokes a sense of paradox and mystery. Michael uses contrasting oxidized and polished brass as a way of questioning whether there really is an iris that is black in nature.
